Tour Description

The Private Accessible 6 hour Jamaica Shore Excursion combines both towns into a spectacular Jamaican adventure! Experience all that Falmouth and Ocho Rios has to offer in your own, private, wheelchair accessible van!

Your adventure begins by meeting your professional guide and driver at the Falmouth or Ocho Rios cruise dock. Board your wheelchair accessible van and begin your scenic and comfortable drive into the tropical landscape of the island. Your first stop will be the intriguing island within an island, Martha Brae. This horseshoe shaped island, surrounded by a bamboo river provides a tranquil place for exploration. Enjoy a trip down the river with the Martha Brae Bamboo River Rafting adventure (Please note, this river rafting trip is dependent upon local weather and accessibility needs of the disabled traveler. Not recommeneded for electric wheelchair users). Continue on to a driving tour of the Rose Hall area - drive by the Rose Hall Great house (not accessible) where your guide will narrate  the history of the great house. You will also make a stop at the Shoppes at Rose Hall for accessible shopping, nearby which there is a coffee shop where you can enjoy authentic Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee.

This shore excursion continues on to an open-air museum overlooking Discovery Bay, Columbus Park. Take in the breathtaking views of the harbor and dive into more of Jamaica’s history as your guide leads you through the accessible routes and intriguing artifacts. Take the short drive to Dunns River Falls and watch from a shaded, wheelchair accessible viewing area as other travelers attempt the climb up the falls. Be sure to have your camera handy to capture wonderful (and sometimes amusing) memories!

Conclude this Jamaica accessible shore excursion with a stroll through the Shaw Park Gardens. This botanical garden encompasses 25 acres and over 600 species of fragrant flowers. Your guide will explain its significance to the surrounding areas as you walk/roll through the Fern Gully and take in the breathtaking views at 900 feet above sea level. Time permitting, you'll have an opportunity to spend some time shopping in an accessible shopping area or sample the local cuisine at an accessible restaurant (cost not included). Your day will end as your guide/driver escorts you back to your cruise dock in your private, wheelchair accessible van.
