Tour Description

The Private Accessible 8 hour Dublin Driving Tour  is a full day adventure exploring not only the highlights of Dublin but also the beautiful Malahide Castle and Gardens and the quaint fishing village of Howth. If you want the full experience of Ireland’s most treasured sites in a short amount of time, this tour is it!

This accessible driving tour begins with your driver/guide meeting you at your accessible Dublin hotel. Roll aboard your private wheelchair accessible van and begin your tour of the historic capital of Ireland. Start your tour with some memorable sightseeing right in the heart of Dublin where you'll experience the vibrant O’Connell Street, the stunning 1818 General Post Office and the 2013 Spire of Dublin. As you make your way through the city, your private driver will give you the opportunity make several stops.

On this accessible full-day Dublin tour, you’ll visit the Historical Trinity College campus and have a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the artistically decorated medieval bible, the Book of Kells. The illuminated illustrations of the Christian Gospels dating from 800 AD are located in the 18th century magnificent Old Library building onsite. You’ll also make a stop at the largest church in Ireland, the stunning St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Here, you can either choose to stay outside and admire the beautiful exterior of the church, or enter and enjoy the breathtaking interior and history of the church.

Before you get to enjoy a delicious lunch at an accessible restaurant (cost not included), this accessible driving tour of Dublin will also take you to the famous Guinness Storehouse. This old museum has great displays about Guinness beer and you’ll learn about the interesting brewing process of the beer as well. The museum is fully accessible, and from the rooftop bar you’ll be able to capture some of the best views of the city! Have your camera ready!

The second part of your full day driving tour takes you outside of Dublin to the beautiful Malahide Castle and Botanic Gardens. The castle has played a central role in Medieval Irish history, and served as the family home for the famous Talbot family for nearly 800 years!  As you take a stroll outside the castle, you’ll experience the scenic, world-class Talbot Botanical Gardens with more than 5000 different species brought from all around the world! It also features a Garden exhibition with fascinating stories about Lord Milo Talbert and his gardens. Please note that while most of the castle is wheelchair accessible, the top floor where the bedrooms are located is not.

Finally, your accessible full-day Dublin driving tour will take you to the beautiful fishing village of Howth. Ireland, as you’ve seen it on pictures, is what you’ll see right here! Have your camera ready to capture the beautiful coastline, lush green landscape and breathtaking cliff formations! If you’re lucky, you might even see some seals splashing in sea!

At the end of this 8 hour accessible Dublin, Malahide and Howth driving tour, your private guide/driver will safely escort you back to your accessible Dublin hotel in the comfort of your wheelchair accessible van.
