Tour Description

This accessible Munich and beyond tour goes beyond the highlights of the city alone. Escorted by your tour guide, you will enjoy a full day of incredible venues including the spectacular Konigplatz, the historic Dachau and the fascinating Nymphenburg Palace and Garden. The tour is a combination of a driving tour and a walking/rolling tour, which allows you to sit back and rest in between the different sites, and not having to navigate long distances. 

Start your tour by meeting your private tour guide and accessible van at your centrally located Munich hotel. From here, you'll head out to the first stop of the day, Konigsplatz square. This beautiful, Neo-classic 19th century inspired site is the center the Munich’s cultural life. The surrounding area around Konigsplatz now houses the Kunstareal, Munich’s esteemed gallery and museum quarter. Together, 

Next, your tour continues with a drive to Dachau, where one of the first German Nazi concentration camps is located. The camp was originally made to hold political prisoners but later expanded to include Jews, Germans, Austrians and other foreign criminals. Your private tour guide will share fascinating anecdotes and history that will provide you with an understanding of the different sites of Dachau, as well as background information about the rise of the Nazi party in Germany. In the concentration camp, you’ll learn about the events that took place here as well as the long, devastating history of the camp. Inside the Memorial Site and the exhibition, your guide will narrate you through the arrival procedure, the routine of the camp, show the historic sites and give you quotes of former inmates. You will also have an option of to see the crematorium if you want to.

Your last stop of the day is the beautiful Nymphenburg Palace and Gardens. Here, you’ll visit the former royal apartments, see the spectacular ball room with a ceiling fresco by John Baptist Zimmermann, and browse through the spectacular art gallery of the 36 beautiful women of 19th century Munich. Inside the park, you’ll get to see the Amalienburg, a quaint hunting palace. Please note that the Numphenburg Gardens is only open from April to Oct. 15th.
